Appearance

Hajrudin is a massively built, well-proportioned giant whose long dark brown hair is matched by his mustache and beard. A metal helmet with visor lenses guards his eyes, and he wears shielded vambraces, a leather pteruges skirt over black underwear, a gold belt buckle, and tall black boots. Once he left Buggy's outfit he added chest and belt plating, a heavy fur cape, and bulkier arm guards. In childhood he was stockier, dressed in suspendered striped pants and a fur-lined belt while lugging a sword that out-sized him. The toy curse turned him briefly into an elephant in a black cap.

Personality

Brash and boastful, Hajrudin announced he would make himself King of All Giants if he won the Mera Mera no Mi. That hunger sprang from the mockery he faced over his mixed birth, a heritage Elbaph treated as a stain on its bloodlines that barred him from any throne. Underneath sits a deeply honorable warrior who refused to let prejudice define him and who repays every debt at full cost. Grateful to Usopp for freeing him, he hoisted the sniper aloft as a savior and bound himself to Luffy, even cutting ties with Buggy's mercenary band to honor the pledge. He pushed through crippling wounds against Machvise to clear that debt. He laughs as "Digagagaga" and works tirelessly toward rebuilding the long-disbanded Giant Warrior Pirates, four giants already recruited.

History

Commanding the New Giant Warrior Pirates outright, Hajrudin held S-class standing in Buggy's dispatch organization, and Gatz named him the mightiest mercenary pirate. His giant frame delivers tremendous power, his punches likened to thunderbolts able to crush Ucy and flatten seasoned gladiators. His endurance is brutal, taking a broken leg and arm to still overpower Machvise's attack. He fights with hammering gauntlets, a spiked club, and later a broadaxe, and his signature Gungnir, an uppercut named after Odin's spear, launched Machvise away even as it splintered his own bones. As a child he weathered the Supreme King Haki pouring off his father's duel with Rocks D. Xebec.

Born on Elbaph to Harald and the foreign giantess Ida, Hajrudin was refused princely status and ridiculed for his lineage, losing every fight to his younger half-brother Loki, whose ancient giant blood gave him an edge. The pain steeled his dream of uniting all giant tribes. Across the years he endured famine, Loki's cruelty, his mother's poisoning and death, and the truth of his father's manipulation by the World Government, all while befriending the outcast navigator Road and standing with Gerd, Goldberg, and Stansen. He helped recover Ohara's books and grew to loathe Charlotte Linlin for wrecking an Elbaph village.

At Dressrosa he joined the Corrida Colosseum's C Block to chase the Mera Mera no Mi, dominating until Luffy dropped him with one blow after he crushed Ucy. Tossed into a dungeon and then cursed into a toy, he silently urged Usopp on and swore to serve him. Freed, he kept that word, siding with Luffy's group to bring down Doflamingo and beating Machvise with Gungnir at the cost of his bones. After the win he brought his crew into the Grand Fleet as Luffy's sixth ship, then resigned from Buggy's Delivery.

On Elbaph he was caught up in Loki's troubles, at first bent on killing his brother over Harald's death. Once Gaban and Loki revealed that the World Government had forced the killing, Hajrudin released Loki and turned his rage on the Knights of God. He fought the demonic giants in Elbaph's defense, splitting one with Gungnir, before Imu descended in person and blew him apart, leaving Chopper to treat the wounded.
