Muscular and tan, Halsey is of ordinary height and wears a fur-lined blue helmet with a horn jutting from either side. His nose points downward, and brown hair spills out around the headgear. He goes about in a sleeveless top striped blue and black, paired with matching shorts, curiously keeping his feet bare.
Personality
Arrogance colors everything he does. He sneered at Kimmel and the rival treasure hunters, convinced that only his parrot pointed him toward the prize, yet he was willing to join forces with Kimmel to dispose of Zoro and Nami before the two settled their own quarrel. For all his swagger, the Simon Pirates leave him shaking, and when he mistook the Straw Hats for that crew he bolted in terror.
History
Halsey was bickering over the islands' treasure with his rival captain Kimmel just as Zoro and Nami broke into the scene. The two captains briefly set aside their feud to fight the pair together and lost. Once Kimmel wrongly took the duo for members of the Simon Pirates, fear swallowed Halsey, who started apologizing before both men ran off. His bulk amounted to little, given how easily he was beaten, and in a fight he leaned on a machete-like knife that he handled with some competence.
