Jiro

Jiro is a small boy whose brown hair is mostly hidden under a bandana dotted in white and purple. Dressed for the cold, he wears a fur-trimmed poncho in light brown over a white shirt and matching trousers, the pants cinched with a pale sash.

An even-tempered and consistently cheerful child, Jiro keeps a positive outlook through difficult moments. He holds his captain Puzzle in great regard and looks up to him. In combat he carries a large chain, though just how skilled he is with the weapon has never been made clear.

When the Phoenix Pirates crossed paths with the Straw Hats, Tony Tony Chopper tended to Jiro's injuries, and after his own checkup the boy asked the doctor to examine their ailing captain. Jiro guided Chopper to a hidden compartment aboard the ship where Puzzle was recovering, earning a scolding for letting his captain languish in such a state, though Chopper still did everything he could. Told that Puzzle remained critical, Jiro stayed by him, and once the captain came around it was Jiro's encouragement that helped him return to himself. He went on to assist Chopper and Luffy in the assault on Lovely Land and the Accino Family, and in the end the Phoenix Pirates reclaimed their flag and helped the Straw Hats slip past Campacino's ambush.
