Personality

Kabagorilla stayed indifferent while watching Gaimon trade blows with Buggy, more interested in the food Kirinkodanuki handed it and idly spitting out the seeds. The creature loves to dance and celebrate, though it wore a regretful look the morning after, nursing a hangover.

History

When the Straw Hat Pirates landed, Kabagorilla and the island's other animals ringed them as Gaimon shouted for the crew to clear off; later the same animals gathered beside Gaimon to wave the pirates away. After Buggy crashed onto the island, the beasts came out to gawk and watched the two men brawl. Kirinkodanuki fed Kabagorilla a half-eaten fruit, and as Gaimon proclaimed his duty to guard them, all the animals chewed the same fruit and spat the seeds. They threw a party with Gaimon and Buggy, only to wake hungover when he departed, then looked on as Alvida rescued him from a giant crab. Its name blends the Japanese words for hippo and gorilla, fitting its mixed look.
