Kadoyan

Heavyset and bald, Kadoyan has fair skin with tufts of grey hair remaining at the sides of his head. His face features rounded eyes, a sizable nose, and slender eyebrows, and he dresses in a red, short-sleeved shirt with a collar.

Friendly and hospitable, Kadoyan happily strikes up conversation with newcomers such as the Straw Hat Pirates, freely sharing details of the Firework Festival even though they were complete strangers. He carries a worry about safety, having been shaken by the launch malfunction that took the lives of Kodama's parents.

A year before the Straw Hats reached Fireworks, Kadoyan was present for the firework mishap that claimed the lives of Kodama's parents. When the crew later arrived and stopped to read the festival notices, he approached and asked whether they had come for the celebration. Together with a merchant he was buying food from, he gave the visitors a short account of the festival's background. After Usopp hurried off to request gunpowder from the firework makers, Kadoyan fretted that a tragedy like the previous year's might repeat itself, but the merchant urged him to keep quiet about it in front of the crew, who had come only to enjoy the event.
