Kaku is a masked operative of CP0 and a former CP9 assassin. He once posed as a Galley-La Company foreman in Water 7 while hunting the Pluton blueprints, and later eats a Devil Fruit that grants him a giraffe form.
Kaku is a young man whose large black eyes each carry three lashes above them, set beside a long, rectangular nose reminiscent of Usopp's. The likeness is so pronounced that Luffy, Sanji, and Zoro each take him for the sniper at one moment or another. During his Galley-La stint he wore jeans, white sneakers, a pale cap, and an orange top fitted with a tall collar and blue arms. After his role within CP9 came to light, he adopted darker assassin's attire: a black cap and suit jacket, worn over a black, high-collared shirt with an orange cloth peeking from the breast pocket. To break into Iceburg's residence he concealed himself beneath blue robes, a dark fez, and an enormous skull mask. These days, as an operative of CP0, he dresses entirely in white with a yellow necktie and a tall hat, sometimes adding a bearded tribal mask while working.
Among his fellow Cipher Pol agents, Kaku comes across as the most down-to-earth, easygoing and sociable when off duty. He grows cold and detached once his true allegiance is exposed, yet shows good sportsmanship in defeat, laughing off Zoro's jab about working in a zoo. A childlike sense of wonder runs through him: he marvels at the technology of Egghead, has always wanted to battle a space monster, and once swallowed a Devil Fruit purely for the thrill, declaring his duel with Zoro "fun." His fondness for giraffes runs deep enough that he split the Tower of Justice in two when mocked over his beast form. Unlike Lucci, he bears no grudges and respects a foe who beats him fairly, and he keeps a professional focus on orders rather than indulging in cruelty. Though only 23, he speaks like an elder, using the archaic pronoun washi.
As a masked agent of CP0, the mightiest branch of Cipher Pol, and once ranked the number-two figure inside CP9, Kaku stands among the World Government's most capable operatives. He can serve as a living lie detector, reading the truth from the pulse at a person's wrist. He is a master of the Six Powers and a skilled swordsman, with a sharp tactical mind and genuine shipwright expertise that earned him the nickname Mountain Wind for his enormous leaps. At Enies Lobby he consumed the Ushi Ushi no Mi, also styled Model Giraffe, a Zoan fruit that lets him shift into a giraffe-human hybrid or a full giraffe, boosting his strength, weight, durability, and reach, and granting extra legs that amplify his Rankyaku; he later awakens the power. Kaku also commands both Armament and Observation Haki.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
