Kau Ra Kau

Kau Ra Kau is a hulking machine painted in yellow and blue, fronted by a wide chest and a flattened head. A single large eye dominates its face, with a blue square set where a second eye would be, above a mouth crowded with big teeth. Silver joints connect its shoulders to arms tipped with a double-sided lance and a spear, while its black lower body is styled to look like a pair of trousers.

As a constructed weapon, the robot carries no will of its own and acts only on the commands of its maker, Niphtal. Its defenses are formidable: gunfire and the attacks of Hey's gang failed to leave a mark on it. In combat it relies on the bladed weapons mounted where its hands should be.

When Hey and his followers overpowered Niphtal's men, the pirate summoned Kau Ra Kau together with its counterpart, Zau Ra Zau. The two machines shrugged off everything Hey's group threw at them and crushed the gang with ease. Niphtal then aimed the robots at the townspeople, but Roronoa Zoro intercepted their strike with his swords. The Straw Hat Pirates engaged both robots and tore them apart.
