Kobato

Kobato stands at a fairly ordinary height and is recognizable by her purple hair and the round spectacles framing her face. Her outfit is a physician's white coat thrown over a red jumper.

Quick on the uptake she is not; she is slow to catch on to things, taking a while to grasp that Chopper could change forms, and she has a habit of letting out piercing shrieks. A fear of blood, or hemophobia, has long troubled her, and partly because of that she leans heavily on the people around her for support, placing a great deal of trust in them.

As a doctor she keeps a stock of medicines, knows her way around an operating table, and specializes in treating children. She also possesses one unusual asset: a scream loud enough to briefly freeze everyone nearby.

When the G-8 Arc unfolds, every other physician on the base has gone, leaving her alone to deal with the wounded as casualties pile up. Faced with injured Marines, she put her faith in Chopper and Nami to assist her in the operating room, and with their help she finally pushed past the dread of blood that had haunted her for years. Grateful for what they did, she repaid the Straw Hats by helping them break out of the base, posing as a captive so they could slip away.
