Konbu

Dark-haired and lacking any visible neck, Konbu looks like a typical youngster apart from his scale. The gigantification experiments carried out by Caesar Clown swelled his frame well past the size of an ordinary child.

Caring and good-natured most of the time, Konbu nonetheless turned hostile while the withdrawal from Caesar's drugs gripped him. Sampling Sanji's attack cuisine afterward stirred a fresh goal in the boy, a desire to cook for himself.

The added size grants Konbu considerable power. During his drug withdrawal he banded together with the other captive children, and as a group they managed to beat down Chopper in Monster Point, even though Chopper meant only to stop them rather than wound them.

Caesar Clown had seized Konbu from his parents and brought him to Punk Hazard to serve as a gigantification test subject, where the boy met Mocha. After the Straw Hats stormed the Biscuits Room, Konbu slipped out alongside Chopper, Sanji, Franky, and Nami, but Caesar soon dragged the group back. He pursued Mocha alongside the other children when she fled with the candy drugs, and her overdose left them puzzled enough for Chopper to administer a sedative. Following Caesar's downfall, Law used the Ope Ope no Mi to strip the NHC10 and other harmful additions from the children, and the G-5 Marines carried them home on the SAD Tanker with hopes that Vegapunk could shrink them back. Tashigi later assured the children they would meet the doctor in a matter of days.
