In their cell, Nami, Sanji, Chopper, and Franky banter with the reassembled samurai head, who scolds Nami for her bold manner and revealing clothes even as he admits he likes them, earning a beating from her and a kick from Sanji. Learning the group are pirates sours his mood, since he despises them. Nami pieces together that the island is split between ice and fire, and the crew resolves to flee. Franky blasts an opening with his Radical Beam, the stubborn head refuses rescue, and Sanji, fixing the man's hair and chin, recognizes him as a Wano samurai who came to save his son. Sind, Mocha, and Konbu debut, and Robin's Cien Fleur: Rindo appears for the first time. The anime extends Luffy's playtime with the centaur before it learns he is an enemy. Smoker explains that two years earlier the island was an ordinary wasteland with its poisons mostly faded, which is why Aokiji and Akainu chose it to settle who would become Fleet Admiral. Their clash was so ferocious it reshaped the island's very weather, and a brief glimpse of that fight is shown.
