Gin, the right-hand man of the Krieg Pirates, had been captured and starved for three days, yet still broke free and overpowered Lines along with six fellow soldiers. Rushing into the Baratie to alert his superior, Lines took a shot to the back from Gin and dropped to the floor, knocked out.
