Louis Arnote

Arnote has never been pictured, so his looks remain entirely unrecorded. He is known instead through the writings he left behind, which mark him as one of the adventurers chronicled in the book Brag Men.

His own accounts suggest a restless, adventurous spirit and a genuine hunger to see and experience the wider world.

Somewhere in the relatively recent past, likely within the last century or so, Arnote journeyed to both Little Garden and Elbaph. He set down the name Little Garden for the first time and penned a description of Elbaph's grandeur, while cautioning readers against lingering there too long for reasons not yet revealed. Because his Little Garden material was bundled into Brag Men, a book widely dismissed as tall tales, casual readers across the world mocked his reports as fantasy despite their place among supposedly true journals. His skill as a traveler is implied by his survival of two such perilous islands. He is sometimes wrongly credited as the lone author of Brag Men, which is in fact a compilation drawn from many explorers.
