A nameless infant from Foosha Village, this baby was brought into the world by the bar owner Makino at some point across the two years the Straw Hats spent apart. Too young to talk, the child mostly laughs, cries, and has lately begun picking Luffy out from newspaper photographs.
Tiny in stature, the infant has cropped hair colored a deep green. A yellow hooded one-piece outfit wraps almost the entire body, leaving only the head and the hands uncovered. Details shift in the Digitally Colored Manga, where the hair turns dark brown and the suit becomes a pale blue.
Being only an infant, the child has no speech yet and displays little character beyond fits of laughter and tears. One thing has registered, though: the baby has started singling out Monkey D. Luffy from photos printed in the papers, lighting up with delight whenever his face turns up.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

When I first decided to commit to watching One Piece seriously, I knew I was embarking on one of anime's longest and most beloved series. With over 100...
The baby arrived during the two-year separation. Makino cradled the child in Foosha Village while the townsfolk rejoiced over Luffy's homecoming, and the infant was later lifted high and giggling in Dadan's grip once word of Luffy's bounty for defeating Doflamingo spread across Dawn Island. Through the Wano period, the child busied itself with a ball inside the bar as a worried Makino sat dwelling on news of Sabo. When the village reacted to Garp's vanishing on Hachinosu, the baby's laughing was mistaken by an angry Woop Slap for making light of the matter, prompting Makino to scoop the child up and point out a newspaper article on Luffy. Oda has said the father is "probably that person," yet his identity stays unknown, and the child's Vivre Card entry left them recorded only as Makino's Child.
Makino runs Party's Bar in Foosha Village, the town where Monkey D. Luffy grew up, and has known him since he was a boy. Her unnamed child, born during Luffy's two-year absence, has grown fond of picking Luffy's face out of newspaper photos.
The father of Makino's Child has never been confirmed in the story. Oda has said the father is probably a specific person without naming him, and the baby's Vivre Card entry records them only as Makino's Child.
Makino's Child is a tiny infant with cropped, deep green hair, wrapped almost entirely in a yellow hooded one-piece outfit that leaves only the head and hands uncovered. In the Digitally Colored Manga the hair is dark brown and the outfit is pale blue instead.
Too young to talk, Makino's Child mostly laughs and cries like any infant, but has lately started singling out Monkey D. Luffy's face whenever it turns up in newspaper photos, lighting up with delight each time.
Makino's Child was born sometime during the two-year timeskip while the Straw Hats were separated, and was already in Makino's arms when Foosha Village celebrated Luffy's homecoming.
