Minozebra

Trapped permanently in his transformed state, Minozebra towers as an upright zebra whose lower torso remains human and clad in trousers. His face carries the runny nose and oversized lips shared by all the Jailer Beasts, yet his styled, flowing mane and dull, half-lidded gaze set him apart from his cutesy-eyed companions. For combat he hauls around a heavy rod tipped with a spike-covered iron ball.

The manga and anime treat his weapon differently. Where the comic gives him a genuinely spiked mace, the animated version softens those points into rounded bumps, a change tied to toning down the torture theme.

Despite a reputation for savagery and his routine of brutalizing inmates, Minozebra is characterized as deeply timid. That meekness shows most around his supervisor Sadi, whose authority he openly accepts and whose temper he genuinely dreads, especially after he fails her.

Serving beneath Sadi, Minozebra handles the punishment and confinement of Impel Down's captives. He devoured an unnamed Zoan fruit granting him a zebra form, then pushed it into its awakened stage. The cost was steep: awakening stripped away most of his mind, leaving a nearly feral creature, but in exchange it boosted his strength, speed, and durability while letting him heal at an accelerated rate. His chosen weapon is the spiked mace fixed to the end of an iron shaft.
