Mugihara Ban

Ban is clearly modeled on Monkey D. Luffy, sharing the same messy black hair and broad grin. Still a child, he dresses in a red sweater pulled over a white shirt stamped at the center with the Straw Hat Jolly Roger. His shorts drop past the knee, and he finishes the outfit with sandals.

Scrappy by nature, Ban readily defends both himself and the people he cares about. He carries plenty of self-belief, trusting his own ability and the strength that comes from bonds between friends. Above all he is a passionate devotee of One Piece.

After picking up his first pack of Kizuna Boost Card Battle cards, Ban heads to Pirate Park with Koby Ichiro, who is about to walk him through the rules. The lesson is cut short when Donki Tsuyoshi snatches the cards, and an outraged Ban demands them back. Tsuyoshi offers a deal: win a match and the cards are returned. Ban takes the bet. Tsuyoshi races ahead, claiming the opening three rounds with Trebol, Jesus Burgess, and Issho. With Ban nearly finished, Ichiro urges him toward a Kizuna Boost, and Ban realizes his next draw will be a Straw Hat. He chains Luffy and Zoro together, and their united strength overpowers Tsuyoshi's Doflamingo card to seal the comeback. Standing over his beaten opponent, Ban credits the friendship among the figures on his cards and tells Tsuyoshi to study up on One Piece before their next bout.
