Peachbeard captains the Peachbeard Pirates, a crew that sails as a subordinate group under the Emperor Blackbeard. Greedy and cruel, he raided the Lulusia Kingdom in search of treasure during the Levely and was promptly crushed by the Revolutionary Army.
Slim and of roughly middling height, Peachbeard has a narrow face whose long jaw ends in a pronounced chin. His hair spills down to his chest in waves. True to his name, he sports a pink handlebar mustache curling up at its tips together with a goatee that curves slightly down. Around the mouth and eyes sit a few wrinkles, and a stitched scar tracks down from his left eye toward the cheekbone. His clothing recalls a storybook pirate: a feathered hat over a headscarf, a dark coat draped off his shoulders, and a plain shirt with trousers. The word Momo rides on his belt, pointing to his Japanese nickname Momohige.
Brutal and fast to turn violent, Peachbeard has no qualms about looting helpless towns, instructing his crew to strike down any Lulusia resident who put up resistance. He occasionally fakes a sympathetic front, granting that the kingdom's royalty and the Marines had left the place defenseless, yet treasure is his sole genuine interest, which he showed by hitting a woman the moment he heard what wealth the town concealed. Loud and easily startled, he openly gawked at the arrival of four Revolutionary Army commanders and jeered at the townsfolk when they snatched up sticks to resist. He carries a signature laugh, Momohahaha.
Being captain grants Peachbeard complete command over the Peachbeard Pirates, though their loyalty proves thin and they abandoned him the second he fell. He is hardly a strong combatant in his own right: while he pushed Moda back with a slap, she bounced back at once and knocked him senseless by smacking his head with a stick after the Kobu Kobu no Mi had bolstered her power. A cutlass hangs on him and a pistol stays tucked in his belt, neither of which he was shown wielding in the manga, although the anime depicts him cutting down a handful of Marines with one swing of his blade.

When I first decided to commit to watching One Piece seriously, I knew I was embarking on one of anime's longest and most beloved series. With over 100...

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
Peachbeard is the captain of the Peachbeard Pirates, a crew that sails as a subordinate group under the Emperor Blackbeard. He is greedy and cruel, and he was defeated by the Revolutionary Army after raiding the Lulusia Kingdom.
During the Levely, when Lulusia Kingdom's strongest forces had left with the royal family, Peachbeard and his crew descended on the undefended port town to loot it for treasure, including rumored Celestial gold.
Peachbeard was defeated by Moda, a Lulusia resident empowered by the Kobu Kobu no Mi, who knocked him senseless by hitting his head with a stick after he had slapped her once already. Revolutionary Army commander Morley had also driven a mass of earth into his crew beforehand.
After his defeat, Peachbeard was bound and left for the townspeople to collect his bounty. He threatened that Blackbeard would retaliate, but Revolutionary executive Belo Betty pointed out that the Emperor has no concern for the crews beneath him.
Peachbeard is brutal and quick to turn violent, showing no hesitation about looting helpless towns and ordering his crew to strike down anyone who resisted. Treasure is his sole genuine interest, and he has a signature laugh called Momohahaha.
