Popora is a small clay-born creature from One Piece: Unlimited Adventure, brought to life by the old craftsman Sealed. Charged with guarding his island for a thousand lonely years, he starts out hostile to the Straw Hats before becoming their ally against the Evil Guardian.
About as small as Chopper in Brain Point, Popora mixes rabbit and wolf traits. Bluish-gray fur covers him, his ears spread like wings with white feathers rising from gray stalks, and a fluffy white tuft crowns his head above swirling fuzzy brows and a canine snout. His belly is white, his thin arms end in pale paws, his legs are stubby, and a slender mouse-like tail trails behind. Golden cufflinks, a matching jacket, and a bell engraved with ancient symbols complete his outfit, the bell's center glowing orange instead of gold.
Sealed first made him gentle and innocent, a childlike being who adored his maker and shared the dream of turning their island into a paradise. The craftsman's death broke that softness, replacing it with grief that curdled into anger over the centuries. Driven to repel every intruder so the Evil Guardian could never escape, Popora pushed away even those who might have freed him, trapping himself in the very loneliness Sealed had hoped to spare him. His devotion made him reckless, hurling himself at far stronger foes and injuring himself in the process. Once he placed his trust in the Straw Hats, the rage gave way to a calmer, playful side, and he came to act out of courage rather than fear. He speaks a tongue no human or animal can understand.
Sealed shaped Popora from clay and gave him life with his Orb, raising him as a father would and granting him a name. When the islanders demanded the creature be forged into a weapon, Sealed refused, so they seized his Orb and conjured the Evil Guardian instead. The monster slaughtered them, and Sealed could only contain it by sacrificing his own life, passing the burden of guarding the island and its seals onto a heartbroken Popora. For a thousand years the creature fended off invading pirates alone, tending a grave he built for his maker.
When Monkey D. Luffy raised the island from the sea, Popora repeatedly ambushed the Straw Hats as they broke the seals holding the Evil Guardian, each clash triggering the Orb to replay shared memories of loss and resolve. Lacking real fighting strength, he relied on hammer swings and headbutts, surprise strikes, and his small size to slip past larger enemies. A Sword Soldier eventually overpowered and dragged him into a vortex, though he later mustered the last of his strength to crush the creature under falling rock.
Worn down by Luffy's persistence and Robin's understanding of his isolation, Popora finally admitted he wanted to be saved. He joined the crew, and together they freed and destroyed the Evil Guardian, then its Evil Master Beast form, escaping the collapsing caverns as Luffy punched through the ceiling. In the aftermath, Sealed's shattered Orb released his spirit, who thanked Luffy and gave Popora a parting gift of companions like himself along with the freedom to live for his own sake. Surrounded by new friends, Popora watched the Thousand Sunny sail off and set about remaking his island into the paradise Sealed had always wanted.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
