Born to Kyros and Scarlett, niece of Viola and granddaughter of King Riku Doldo III, Rebecca once held the rank of Dressrosa's crown princess. She let that title go to share a life with her father and now attends her aunt as a lady-in-waiting, having survived years as a captive gladiator under Doflamingo's regime.
With fair skin and a height just under Luffy's, Rebecca strongly resembles her late mother. Her long pink hair is kept in a braid that parts into two strands beginning at the temples once her helmet is removed, and the other fighters of the colosseum widely regard her as beautiful.
For combat she donned a yellow scale-armor bikini under a turquoise cloak, topped with a ridge helmet, and rounded out the kit with greaves, gloves, a string of pearls, and heeled armor, carrying a large sword and a round shield, the latter discarded once the D Block free-for-all began. Hakuba's assault left the helmet damaged, and Diamante later shattered it entirely with a club. Outside the arena she wore a plain white dress ahead of the tournament and, during her brief return to royal life, a frilled marigold gown almost identical to Scarlett's. As a girl she wore a hooded blue coat while already keeping the braided ponytail.
Composed and proud, Rebecca carries a deep loathing for Doflamingo, the man she meant to kill with the fire of the Mera Mera no Mi. Polite and swift to return a good turn, she tended to injured rivals and thanked anyone who came to her defense, yet beneath that steadiness sits an emotional, easily moved heart. Mockery about her past with Spartan makes her bite her lip, and she conceals hunger and weakness out of guilt, remembering how telling her mother she was hungry as a child led to Scarlett's death.
More than anything, she refuses to harm others, a lesson passed to her by Scarlett. Even within the colosseum's brutal contests she came out on top without wounding a soul. That gentleness gives way only for love: to protect those dear to her she once tried to take Luffy's life, faltering for lack of genuine killing intent, and then steeled herself for retaliation instead of fleeing. Kyros praised her with pride for carrying on Scarlett's kindness.
Rebecca spent her early years at a modest cottage on the outskirts of Dressrosa, picking and selling flowers with Scarlett until the Donquixote Pirates seized the kingdom and shattered the family. Diamante's men killed Scarlett as she went searching for food, and Kyros, transformed into a toy soldier and wiped from everyone's memory, became Rebecca's silent guardian. He brought her up, trained her to fight in spite of his one-legged toy body, and dropped a single flower petal into her room each morning as a promise to stay near. In time the Donquixote Pirates captured her and forced her to fight in the arena, where she earned the name the Undefeated Woman.
Once Doflamingo faked his abdication and set up a contest with the Mera Mera no Mi as its prize, she entered as a member of D Block. She warmed to the disguised Luffy, endured even Hakuba's blinding rampage to win her block, and reached the finals, though Sabo ultimately claimed the fruit. When Sugar's curse broke, her lost memories returned and she knew the Thunder Soldier to be her father. Amid Doflamingo's Birdcage game she fled with Luffy's allies, was manipulated into turning her sword on Viola before Law and Luffy intervened, and wept with joy at the warlord's defeat. Back with Kyros, she refused her grandfather's offer of the throne, surrendered her royal status to live with her father, and asked Viola to take her place as princess. She afterward served Viola as a lady-in-waiting and attended the Levely at Mary Geoise, befriending Vivi and Shirahoshi and standing against the cruelty of the World Nobles.
In a fight she relies on speed and dodging over raw strength. Trained by Kyros since childhood, she is exceptionally agile and senses incoming blows through Observation Haki, emerging from her colosseum matches without a scratch. Her defensive swordsmanship, called the Backwater Sword Dance, uses an opponent's own force to send them tumbling from the ring rather than cutting them down, suitably waged with a deliberately blunted blade. Faced with someone as strong as Diamante, though, that style left her powerless.

When I first decided to commit to watching One Piece seriously, I knew I was embarking on one of anime's longest and most beloved series. With over 100...

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
One Piece never confirms a romance between the two; Rebecca warmed to the disguised Luffy during the Corrida Colosseum tournament and valued him as a friend and ally, but her feelings are not depicted as romantic love.
Rebecca lost her mother, Scarlett, to the Donquixote Pirates and was forced into gladiator combat as a child, later fighting through the Corrida Colosseum tournament, reuniting with her father Kyros, and giving up her royal title to live with him after Doflamingo's defeat.
Rebecca is 16 years old, born on August 4th, and stands 171 cm tall.
Rebecca is the daughter of the gladiator Kyros and his wife Scarlett, and the granddaughter of King Riku Doldo III of Dressrosa, with Viola as her aunt.
Rebecca fights with the Backwater Sword Dance, a defensive swordsmanship style taught to her by Kyros that redirects an opponent's own force to throw them from the ring rather than cutting them down, wielded with a deliberately blunted blade.
