Appearance

The likeness between Scarlett and her daughter Rebecca ran strong. She tied her pink hair into a braided ponytail, two loose strands hanging down beside her face, though her pink was deeper than Rebecca's tone. During the Flower Field flashback she appears in a white button-up dress finished with frills along the bottom.

Personality

Scarlett's whole world was her daughter, and she fought desperately to keep Rebecca clear of the violence that gripped Dressrosa after Doflamingo's rise. Gentle by nature, she once urged her child never to wound anyone, and she treated the dwarves with compassion, sneaking them treats whenever her father berated them for mischief. That same devotion cost her everything when she risked her life simply to bring Rebecca food.

Toward Kyros she was guarded at first, doubting a former killer's change of heart, but his rescue won her over, and she grew to love him. For his sake she gave up her princess title of her own accord, faking a death to elope, sidestep scandal, and settle into a plain life in a modest cottage with her family.

History

At the time Kyros took command of Dressrosa's army, Scarlett, then just sixteen, spoke out against the decision, still branding him a murderer and unable to grasp why the king, her father Riku Doldo III, had welcomed him. Her view changed once Kyros, treated coldly by her, rescued her from abducting pirates; love followed, and to be with him she walked away from royalty by staging her death. The couple made a home in a flower field just beyond the kingdom's edge and had Rebecca, with Doldo and Viola dropping by from time to time, while Scarlett and her daughter gathered flowers to sell in town.

As the Donquixote Pirates overtook Dressrosa, Kyros told his wife and daughter to remain at the Red Flower Field and await him there. Diamante's armed band then set upon them, and they got away solely through the aid of Kyros, who had been turned into the toy Thunder Soldier, the very transformation that wiped their recollection of him. Two days into their flight, a starving Rebecca pleaded for food, so Scarlett headed to town, where Diamante ambushed and shot her. As Thunder Soldier rushed to her, she asked him to look after Rebecca and then died. He brought her body and the food back, and she was laid to rest in that flower field beneath a plain wooden stake. Ten years afterward, Kyros, restored to human shape, beat Diamante in that field, knocking him headfirst onto Scarlett's grave marker, and later he and Rebecca sat there in remembrance, setting flowers around the spot.
