Appearance

Large in frame, bald, and tan-skinned, Red King has a wide mouth set beneath a long neck piled with six chins, one side of it tattooed with the word "MARINE." He dresses in a purple pinstripe suit over a pink shirt and red tie, the Justice coat slung across his shoulders with faded purple cuffs, while an enormous gauntlet reading "RED" sheathes his right arm. His coloring shifted between early and later depictions, beginning as a darker solid suit in the manga and a blue pinstripe variant in the anime before arriving at the final purple.

Personality

Red King treasures the Marines' weaponry and finds it distasteful when circumstances leave him no option but to wreck it. He also displayed real worry for Jaygarcia Saturn, becoming visibly shaken as the Elder writhed in agony and stared down death.

Abilities

His Vice Admiral rank gives him command over lower Marines, and the Egghead Incident showed him to be a keen strategist with a firm grasp of how tough Vegapunk's machines were. He chose to target the Sea Beast Weapons ahead of the Pacifista and judged that the biggest battleships served as the strongest counter to them. For close fighting he fits on his oversized gauntlet to land devastating blows, among them Steam Knuckle, a strike propelled by high-pressure steam. The anime also depicts him bounding between warships with Geppo, and like every Vice Admiral he wields Haki.

Once the World Government called for Vegapunk's removal, Red King joined Saturn, Kizaru, and eight further Vice Admirals in laying siege to Egghead. He ordered his forces onto the Sea Beast Weapons and afterward led the shelling of the Pacifista when a Buster Call was declared. Moving to keep Bonney's party from boarding the Giant Warrior Pirates' ship, he set upon Franky, brushed off a warning to step aside, and was swiftly beaten. In the fallout he looked on aghast as Saturn shriveled and burst apart, leaving nothing but a skeleton.
