Rockstar

Tall and burly with dark skin, Rockstar wears his red hair in a bristling liberty-spike style. His colorful outfit centers on a dark purple double-breasted coat left open over a light orange shirt with a wide collar, set off by a red foulard at the throat. A yellow sash circles his waist, draping down both sides rather than one, and he finishes with light blue pants and brown boots. A green-hilted saber rides on his left hip, slung from a belt crossing over his right shoulder.

Rockstar carries himself with marked confidence and pride. Insulted by Whitebeard's men, he was ready to fight to defend his honor, and he leaned on his captain's reputation to stress the weight of the letter he delivered. Loyal to Shanks, he stood up for him in front of Whitebeard. He also holds a strong sense of justice and expects others to abide by the rules.

As with most of Shanks' crew, little of Rockstar's past is recorded, though he made a name as a pirate elsewhere before signing on with the Red Hair Pirates two years ago, carrying a bounty of 94,000,000 berries from that earlier career. He is regarded as a heavy hitter of the crew without holding officer rank. A swordsman, he practices a style called Splitting Sword, bringing his blade straight down to cleave an opponent in two, and can also bore through targets like a drill. Shanks dispatched him to deliver a message to Whitebeard, who promptly tore it up while still going along with Shanks' prediction, offended that Shanks had sent a newcomer rather than come himself. Rockstar wanted to fight to reclaim his honor, but Shanks waved it off and told him to stand down. After the timeskip he appeared at a wedding among island ruins with other crewmates, and during the Egghead Arc he alerted Shanks to Eustass Kid attacking the fleet, prompting Shanks to declare war.
