Spoil chairs the Thriller Bark Victim's Association, a band of people robbed of their shadows by Gecko Moria. Frail and corpse-like in appearance, his single wish was to feel sunlight one more time before death, a hope the Straw Hat Pirates made real.
Spoil is a small, elderly man whose gray skin is heavily wrinkled. He has a broad jaw, a stretched nose, and a scar above one eye on the right of his forehead, with the opposite eye encircled by a dark ring. A long scar marks his chest, and his frame is so gaunt and lacking in muscle that he resembles a zombie. He keeps an open, threadbare green trench coat, tan slacks cinched with a black belt, and a worn brown hat, plus white bandages wrapped over old chest wounds. His look gets him mistaken for a zombie constantly, and he is never without the lamp he carries everywhere.
Mostly mild-mannered, Spoil was profoundly pained by losing his shadow and felt deep kinship with the many others suffering the same fate. He wanted only one thing, to stand in the sunlight a final time before dying, a wish the Straw Hat Pirates ultimately granted.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

When I first decided to commit to watching One Piece seriously, I knew I was embarking on one of anime's longest and most beloved series. With over 100...
Counted among Gecko Moria's many shadow-theft victims, Spoil was judged too harmless to bother setting adrift and was simply left to roam Thriller Bark's woods. Over time he gathered enough fellow sufferers to found the Thriller Bark Victims' Association, a group desperate to dodge both the sun and Moria's troops until their shadows could be returned.
After watching several Straw Hats crush a swarm of zombies with ease, Spoil came forward to plead for their aid, sharing what he had learned about Moria and revealing that Thriller Bark was in truth an enormous ship. When the crew at last brought Moria down, Spoil and the other victims got their shadows back and quickly thanked their rescuers. They took part in the celebration that followed and gave a warm send-off as the Straw Hats departed.
