Personality

As a competitor he races with fierce drive, happy to shoot rival cars down so he can grab the lead and hold it. His one peculiarity is that he tolerates nothing but forward motion, an obsession that ultimately pitches his car into a crash.

Abilities

Holding the rank of Chief Petty Officer gives him a measure of authority over lower Marines such as Curve, and he proves a skilled marksman, downing a rival Turtle Car mid-race. He and Curve signed up for the Turtle Car Race held inside the casino of Gran Tesoro, Straight handling the weapons while Curve took the wheel. Early on he gunned down Jimmy Myers' vehicle to push the two into first, then kept firing on the cars trailing them. Warned by Curve of a looming 180 degree bend, Straight would not permit the car to turn, which sent Curve off the course and into a pool of gold.
