Hailing from Karakuri Island, Taroimo is a mechanical canine kept as a pet and marked with the number 28. His mechanical body lets him fire missiles and shrug off severe cold, and he first crossed paths with Franky after Kuma launched the cyborg onto the island.

Appearance

Under the hardware, his coat is light brown, his nose is black, and his teeth come to sharp points. Ringing his neck sits a metal collar dotted with holes, and a disc rides each front side of it, every disc showing the number 28 within an orange ring. A ridged plate shields his eyes and gives off a red glow, a yellow propeller-style piece juts from his back, and a further chunk of metal wraps the upper part of his rear.

Personality

He takes to commands readily, having lunged at Franky when he mistook him for prey and then halting the moment he was ordered to. There is a distinctly human streak to him as well, seen when he danced beside Franky and his owners and when he broke into a panic as Vegapunk's lab detonated.

Abilities

His arsenal includes the ability to fire missiles directly out of his mouth, and his cyborg construction grants him a strong tolerance for freezing temperatures. His story begins when Bartholomew Kuma hurled Franky toward Karakuri Island: taking the newcomer for prey, Taroimo attacked, until Kitton and his grandfather grasped who was under fire and ordered the dog to stand down, whereupon he fell into a dance with Franky and the owners. Once Doflamingo had been toppled, he assembled alongside Kitton, the grandfather, and other cyborg animals to read up on the crew's revised bounties. His number, 28, follows the same numbering convention used for the Battle Frankies as well as the zombies found on Thriller Bark.
