History

Some time earlier, Tempo and her parents had visited Gran Tesoro and fallen into a staggering debt, which forced her and Ricca to take on jobs around the city to repay it. As the Straw Hats arrived in the first-class district, the two children and a few others pressed flowers on them at inflated prices, only for Baccarat to shoo them away. Inside the Wild Cow restaurant, several of Gild Tesoro's men set upon the siblings until Double Down stepped between them and absorbed the abuse. Furious, Ricca bolted from the crew when they asked why the children had not defended themselves, and Tempo chased him. The two later saw a screen showing Tesoro crush Luffy, which sent Ricca dashing off again with his sister trailing. After Luffy finally defeated Tesoro that night, Tempo and Ricca joined a crowd of residents fleeing Gran Tesoro aboard a ship.
