Watchdog Unit of the Law

Mounted on dogs and fighting with blades strapped to their arms, the troops of this unit are uniformly lean and well-muscled. Their gear runs to bull's-eye-marked helmets crowned by a single white feather, blue gloves reaching the elbow, and brown trousers, paired with white vests fastened by a gold belt across the chest, knee guards, and black footwear. Inked on each soldier's arm is the World Government's flag. Their commander stands apart, his skin olive-toned, his brown hair worn long, his nose pointed, and his goatee kept short.

Holding the line at Enies Lobby matters enormously to the unit, and the Straw Hats' intrusion left them furious. They also carry a streak of arrogance, certain that even accomplished combatants such as the Galley-La foremen could never keep pace with them. That conviction soured into outrage when just three of those foremen managed to stall the entire corps single-handedly.

Riding large dogs grants the soldiers rapid movement, and each carries a pair of slim arm blades, one fixed to either wrist, which they wield skillfully for slashing and stabbing; even so, the Galley-La foremen outclassed them in both pace and power. After those foremen and the Franky Family had downed Oimo and thrown open the front gate, the unit's leader drove a blade into Paulie's chest and withdrew before the foreman could answer, then jabbed the unconscious giant Oimo awake, only for the Rocketman to plow into the giant and knock part of the unit off balance. When the Straw Hats and the foremen advanced atop Sodom, Paulie, Tilestone, and Peepley Lulu turned the unit's charge aside with ease. The soldiers kept pressing the foremen without ever breaking through, then cheered as Oimo and Kashii rose, expecting the giants to crush Paulie and his companions. Instead the giants rounded on their former handlers, attacking the unit alongside the rest of the lobby's guards. As with every Marine and World Government official posted there, the unit was evacuated when the Buster Call descended.
