Summary

The sea train closes in on Enies Lobby as Robin and the captive Franky are hauled in front of Spandam, the head of CP9. When Spandam sneers at Tom for defying the government, Franky lunges and bites him, only for Kumadori to swat the chains away with his staff. Out in the streets, Luffy mows down another wave of Marines and agents, tearing a chunk of wall loose and shredding it midair with his Gatling barrage.

Key Events

Told that Kashii is beaten and Oimo is being overwhelmed, the three-in-one figure Baskerville dispatches a hundred men from the Watchdog Unit of the Law. At the gate, Mozu and Kiwi pry the lock while Paulie's ropes snare Oimo and the King Bulls spin him helplessly. Rather than stop, Zoro orders the crew to keep charging, and Yokozuna bends the outer gate into a ramp. The Rocketman launches off it and soars into the sky, and as the giant Oimo wakes, the plunging train slams into him and knocks him cold. The Straw Hats spill out fighting, while the surviving agents back Luffy toward a cliff edge.

Notes

Part of the Enies Lobby Arc. Two sly nods to Mr. 3 appear: the Den Den Mushi the Marines use resembles Galdino's, complete with a Mr. 3 label on its shell, and Luffy shouts Tonkachi mid-barrage, echoing a technique he once used when his legs were trapped in wax. Paulie takes a stab to the shoulder from a Watchdog Unit member. Baskerville debuts here.
