History

Roughly thirty-eight years before the present, Yui reached God Valley among the Roger Pirates as the crew prepared to face the Rocks Pirates in the confrontation that history would call the God Valley Incident. The crew's real aim there was Shakuyaku, and once Silvers Rayleigh had pulled her to safety, Roger's men were ordered to grab the treasure and pull out. When Imu seized control of Jaygarcia Saturn's body, Yui took a position beside a wall of flame as Roger declined to engage the Rocks Pirates, judging Saturn the larger danger.

Twelve years afterward, while on some island, the crew under Roger wiped out a battalion of Marines just as the Whitebeard Pirates came into view. The two crews traded blows for four days before Yui joined in a gift exchange between them. His fate following the crew's disbandment remains unknown.
