The Three-Sword Style of the Supreme King! Zoro vs. King

With King's abilities finally understood, Zoro channels his new conqueror's power into the King of Hell Three Sword Style. King relives how he came to serve Kaidou, and the two warriors trade everything they have before Zoro stands as the winner.

King insists Zoro's promise to Luffy and Kuina can never come true while he and Kaidou live. As they clash, Zoro's blows fail to wound until his Supreme King Haki-infused Ul-Tora Gari draws blood and shreds King's mask. Beasts Pirates who glimpse his black wings, white hair, and brown skin name the bounty placed on his rare race, and King incinerates them. Zoro deduces that King's flames govern both his toughness and his speed, the two inversely linked. A flashback shows King, then called Arber, freed from a World Government lab on Punk Hazard by a young Kaidou, who renamed him King and made him his right hand. Back in the present the two exchange devastating techniques, King's Imperial Flaming Wings against Zoro's King of Hell strikes. The final collision shatters King's sword and tears off a wing. As his awareness fades, King thinks of Kaidou, whom he believed to be Joy Boy, and vows never to lose so his captain can become Pirate King, while Zoro recalls his own oath to surpass the world.

King and Zoro each debut multiple techniques. The adaptation has Ul-Tora Gari destroy King's mask, shows Kaidou freeing King and the Marines trying to recapture them, and ends with Zoro slashing a Z over the To Be Continued screen, a likely nod to Zorro. It reorders King removing his mask to after Zoro questions his race and omits his beast-form transformation. Trivia notes the Haki sparks spelling Zoro's name with both R and L.
