Momonosuke is charged with steering Onigashima out of the path of Luffy's final blow, but doubts he can shift the island fast enough. Kaidou wraps himself in flames to guard against the attack, prompting Luffy to rely on Ryuo so he can wound the Emperor without touching him. The two collide head-on, Luffy driving his giant inflated fist into the clash.
Down in the Skull Dome, the allies pray for Luffy's win, while festival-goers inscribe their wishes to be rid of Orochi onto their Sky Ships.
Flashbacks recall how Orochi seized power by force with Kaidou's backing and ground Wano's people into harsh labor. Under his rule the populace sank into poverty, scraping by on defective SMILE fruits or polluted water. Remembering this suffering, Momonosuke recovers the resolve to move the island.
Meanwhile Orochi, in his lone-headed Yamata no Orochi form, moves to kill Hiyori, but Denjiro arrives in time, beheading the tyrant one last time and severing his final head.
