The Mystery Deepens! Egghead Labophase

Still fleeing the Pacifista, Bonney, Luffy, Chopper, and Jinbe are cornered and brace to fight. Bonney instead taps her Devil Fruit, aging herself and Jinbe down into children and turning Luffy and Chopper elderly. The altered appearances fool the Pacifista, which fails to identify them and wanders off.

Jinbe recounts what he knows of Kuma: a tyrant king of the Sorbet Kingdom toppled by his own subjects, who became a pirate and Revolutionary Army officer before his arrest. Spared a life sentence in exchange for joining the Seven Warlords, he was subjected to Vegapunk's experiments and rebuilt as a cyborg. Bonney stubbornly rejects the idea that her father went along with the World Government willingly. Above the clouds, Lilith brings Nami, Usopp, Robin, Franky, and Sanji up to the Labophase while Zoro, Brook, and Caribou guard the docked Sunny. After changing clothes, the group is guided through the lab by the satellite Edison, only to come face to face with a Seraphim resembling Jinbe but fitted with wings.

In a separate corridor, the satellite Shaka reaches Dragon by Den Den Mushi and foretells his own death. The anime adds the chase from the Pacifista and Bonney's age-altering trick, plus comedic bits of Sanji trailing the women into the changing room and getting smacked by Nami. S-Shark debuts, and Nami's Mirai Kick is first used.
