Let's Go Get It! Buggy's Big Declaration

Tsuru and Sengoku meet and learn that Vice Admiral T Bone has been killed in Pepe Kingdom. They grieve that he died at the hands of a destitute citizen he was trying to protect, a man who slew him for the Cross Guild bounty to feed his family. At the big top, Buggy praises the killer and offers him a place in the Cross Guild. Buggy then discovers his shipwrights have completed a flagship, only to recoil in horror at his own face mounted as its figurehead.

Humiliated by the gaudy design, Mihawk and Crocodile haul Buggy into a meeting room and rough him up over his leadership. The two explain that they envision the Cross Guild as a business that commits crimes for money and power, but Buggy cuts in to voice his dream of finding the One Piece and becoming Pirate King. Unwilling to provoke the other Emperors, the pair keep beating him, yet Buggy broadcasts his ambition over a Den Den Mushi to his followers, who rally behind him with enthusiasm.

On Momoiro Island the Revolutionary Army's deputy commanders watch Sabo come ashore after going silent on every call. He brings refugees from the Lulusia Kingdom, whom Belo Betty welcomes to settle and enlist, then meets privately with Ivankov and Dragon to begin disclosing the truth of the Levely. The anime adds Buggy's stretched-out reaction to the killer and his frightened response to the ship, plus extended footage of Sabo's arrival. Miyu Irino officially takes over as Sabo's voice here. The episode debuts Jiron and the Pepe Kingdom location, with a bonus appearance by Crocodile.
