Vegapunk's global message reaches its end and a final attack cuts the feed for good. Emet then releases a stored surge of Supreme King Haki, the gift Joy Boy left him, scattering the Five Elders and clearing Luffy's escape from Egghead.
With Saturn struck down, Vegapunk finishes his worldwide message by declaring that the planet's future rests on whoever lays hands on the One Piece. The words spur pirates everywhere, the rival Emperors included, to chase the treasure. Before the scientist can disclose Joy Boy's true identity, however, Warcury at last fells Emet and shatters the Transmission Den Den Mushi, severing the broadcast permanently.
Their feed silenced, the Elders shift entirely to blocking the Straw Hats' getaway. A revived Saturn joins Warcury and Ju Peter against the party led by Luffy and Bonney, while overhead Nusjuro glides toward the Thousand Sunny. Roused by the Drums of Liberation, Emet hauls himself upright for one last act and lets loose the held reserve of Supreme King Haki that Joy Boy once sealed inside him. That wave drops York, every vice admiral, and each surviving Marine, and it hurls Nusjuro, Warcury, and Ju Peter all the way back to Pangaea Castle.
As the Sunny settles back onto the water, Nami's group celebrates their survival even as they mourn losing Edison and Atlas. Inside Pangaea Castle, Imu winces in pain after detecting Joy Boy's presence. Stranded on Egghead, Saturn finds Emet, who recalls how Joy Boy stored the Haki within him and instructed him to unleash it only when the moment was right. With that duty discharged, the Iron Giant powers down.
