Amused by the panic below, Enel hurls a bolt of lightning that throws Nami off course, yet when the haze lifts the floating land still stands. Gan Fall marvels that the Vearth soil absorbed the strike and wonders how four centuries of fear blinded them all.

Refusing to slow, Luffy presses his charge even as Enel unleashes Raigo and the waver beneath him gives out. With the beanstalk crashing back to earth, Luffy raises the golden ball and fires off his fireworks technique, furious that the so-called god spoiled the clear weather they had just earned. The desperate White Berets and the gathered villagers fall into prayer as Luffy's blasts split the thundercloud apart, and sunlight pours through to everyone's astonishment.

Enel responds by transforming into a towering electric titan through his two hundred million volt attack, proclaiming that a Paramecia user can never halt a Logia. Luffy runs up the giant's arm and drives a kick into its face. A trident scorches him and the gold sphere drags him in close, but he wrenches free, then combines the golden ball with the arm Enel had earlier wrung tight to deliver the decisive strike. The impact launches Enel into the Shandorian golden bell, fulfilling the long-awaited promise of its ringing.

The episode adapts portions of chapters 297 and 298. No music accompanies Luffy's eyecatcher this time. The moment he knocks Enel into the bell marks the first occasion the series lets viewers hear his private thoughts aloud. Flashbacks revisit figures tied to Jaya and Shandora, including Kalgara, Noland, and Cricket.
