Hero of the Slave Liberation - Adventurer Tiger

Continuing his account to Nami and the others, Jinbe rewinds sixteen years. On Fish-Man Island a robber takes hostage money, and the Queen hurries over despite her guards offering to handle it. When the man fires, Otohime slips the shot using Kenbunshoku Haki and slaps him, crying out from the pain her fragile body suffers. Learning he stole to feed his ten children after his livelihood burned down, she weeps in apology, and he too breaks down in regret.

After the robber is taken in and vows to reform, Otohime addresses the crowd, urging them not to condemn humans and to sign a petition for migration ahead of the World Council, though the citizens refuse and Jinbe doubts anything will change. At the palace she comforts a wailing baby Shirahoshi while Neptune recalls the failed ancestral attempt to reach the surface aboard the Noah. Later, Jinbe confronts pirates harassing a fish-man waitress at a bar. Now a thirty-year-old soldier, he meets Arlong, who has been slaying humans under cover of army duties, and coldly rebuffs him as scum. Fisher Tiger arrives, heads to the palace, and tells the king he intends to free the slaves after what he witnessed, moving Otohime to tears. Word of his raid on Mary Geoise soon electrifies the island, prompting Jinbe to quit the army as Arlong's and Macro's groups join the Sun Pirates alongside the freed slaves.

Added anime touches include the Minister of the Right catching the hostage Otohime hurled away, Jinbe's bar scene with the pirates, a present-day cutaway with Nami and Chopper, and the on-screen reception of the Sun Pirates' mark by Jinbe, Arlong, and Hatchan. The episode reorders several flashback beats from the manga, including when the Fish-Man District is detailed and when Tiger's talk with Neptune is shown. The next-episode preview is shortened, and Papaneel, Otohime, Zururin, and Aladine all make their debut.
