Iron Pirate! Here Comes General Franky!

Inside Gyoncorde Plaza, where the Straw Hat Pirates trade blows with Hody's New Fish-Man Pirates, the fight swings toward the crew. Watching the tide turn, Daruma tunnels beneath the surface and caves in the ground under the Brachio Tank V, sending Chopper and Usopp plunging into a pit. When Franky speeds in aboard his Kurosai FR-U IV only to drop into that same hole, he reveals that the two machines can dock onto him, fusing into General Franky to the wonder of Usopp, Chopper, and Luffy.

In his upgraded shape Franky cuts through enemy after enemy, Nami turns aside a would-be ambusher with her Sorcery Clima-Tact, and Usopp looses Pop Green into the ranks. Now in Horn Point, Chopper strikes Daruma from underground, his transformations strengthened so that one Rumble Ball alone now does the job.

It emerges that Hody has been bending Surume to his will by threatening the kraken's sibling far off at the North Pole, and he commands the beast to crush Shirahoshi. Surume starts to obey, but Luffy, feeling for the creature's situation, pledges to save its brother himself and pivots to take on Hody face to face. When Dosun and Ikaros Much try to head Luffy off, Zoro and Sanji intercept them, letting Luffy weave through the fish-men with Gear 2 and drive a kick into Hody.

As the citizens cheer the Straw Hats, an immense shape draws closer. King Neptune looks on aghast, recognizing the Ship of Promise, Noah, which is barreling straight at their home below.

The anime adds several scenes, among them Hyouzou rousing to catch sight of Brook beside Zoro, the pair of Usopp and Chopper missing Daruma with their shots from the tank, the complete combining sequence that builds General Franky, and flashbacks to each crewmate's island feats. Ikaros's manga gripe about Luffy nicknaming the kraken is dropped. Where the source knocked the officers to the ground, here Zoro and Sanji merely push them back, and Luffy requires Gear 2 to reach Hody instead of the unaided speed of the page. Pandaman shows up four times in the enemy crowd, and the next installment's preview is trimmed shorter than usual.
