A Collision of Haki! Luffy vs. Doflamingo!

Standing over the wrecked Warlord to avenge Corazon, Law unleashes Counter Shock, leaving Doflamingo coughing blood and going slack before exhaustion drops Law as well. Luffy rouses him, and the two stare as Doflamingo climbs back up, having knit his organs together with threads as crude first aid, not true healing. Trebol then catches Luffy in a sticky tether, flinging him far from the pair so the Warlord can finish Law.

As Doflamingo lifts his foot to crush Law's skull, Luffy's foot meets it, then meets it once more. Their second clash erupts in matching conqueror's will, astounding Trebol, shaking the area, and collapsing part of the palace plateau, which drives Bartolomeo to wall himself off. Everyone on Dressrosa feels the shock; Law's guess that Luffy carried that will proves correct, and Trebol thinks back on the boy he recruited.

Counter Shock fails to put Doflamingo down for good, since he repairs his own innards. Luffy and the Warlord collide twice, the second meeting releasing rival conqueror's will that rocks the plateau and confirms Luffy wields it. Three decades earlier, the crucified child Doflamingo, his father Homing begging the mob for mercy, snapped and awakened that same will, scattering the crowd. Trebol, Vergo, Diamante, and Pica then presented the boy with a firearm together with the Ito Ito power, the gun he soon turned on his father.

Back in the present, an Armament Haki exchange lets Luffy slip past the Warlord's defense for several hits, but Doflamingo dodges the finisher, rises into the air recalling his suffering, and wins their next collision, slamming Luffy against the rooftop's rim.

This Dressrosa Arc episode rates 8.4 and debuts Doflamingo's Shufuku Sagyo and Athlete along with Luffy's Eagle Bazooka. The adaptation renders Doflamingo's will knocking out the torturing mob onscreen, a moment the manga only referenced, and stretches out the overall Haki clash. It also shows Trebol flinging Luffy aside during the organ repair. A brief slip makes Law's goatee vanish, and Luffy throws the Eagle Bazooka, the Armament version of Jet Bazooka, while outside Gear Second. Luffy serves as the eyecatcher.
