Nami recounts how Brulee outclassed her group, and the buried stranger explains that Big Mom's fruit animates her whole realm by gathering lifespans taxed from her people. He then admits a stunning tie to her, just as Cracker closes in.
Inside a cathedral, the people of Totto Land assemble before a dark blob that offers them a single choice, leave or life, and once everyone picks life it dips a hand into each of them and draws out a dimly glowing soul shard. Deeper in the Seducing Woods, Luffy keeps mistaking the true Nami for one of the animal copies until she smacks him in frustration. She turns on the buried stranger for doing nothing through her entire fight, then explains that the Luffy clone had really been Charlotte Brulee. Brulee threw Carrot's blow back with a rippling mirror, and a bigger mirror then drew the mink into the Mirro-World, cutting her off from the others.
Once Brulee's plants swarmed Nami and Chopper, the reindeer became Monster Point and held them off long enough for Nami to flee, earning Brulee's admiration. Pinned down for answers, the stranger spells out why the forest lives. At every half-year mark the citizens of Totto Land hand over a month of their own lifespans as a levy, which Big Mom's Incarnations gather through the Soru Soru no Mi and scatter into the wild. Those fragments lodge in objects and creatures and become homies, though humans and the dead stay immune. As for the animal doubles, those are Brulee's doing, not the fruit's. Only after lengthy resistance does the stranger let slip that, long ago, he had been wed to Big Mom himself, leaving the pair speechless while Cracker pushes through the trees toward them.
Charlotte Cracker arrives for the first time here, alongside the Bisu Bisu no Mi and a handful of techniques including Carrot's Eleclaw and Brulee's Reflection and Mirro-World. Big Mom sends Cracker, one of her Three Sweet Commanders, with an order to make the Straw Hats long for death. The adaptation slips in Nami knocking out a fake Sanji, Randolph readying a strike on the transformed Chopper, the chateau's food homies briefing Big Mom, and Cracker's approach through the woods. Where the manga first shows him threatening Pound, the anime opens instead with him addressing Big Mom. A coloring slip tints Nami's right sandal to match her skin as Brulee hoists her.

When I first decided to commit to watching One Piece seriously, I knew I was embarking on one of anime's longest and most beloved series. With over 100...

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
Big Mom's fatal ability, explained in this episode, works through her Soru Soru no Mi power, which lets her Incarnations collect a levy of lifespans from Totto Land's citizens twice a year and scatter the fragments into objects and creatures to create homies.
Nami explains that the Luffy double who fought and mirrored their captain was actually Charlotte Brulee, who threw Carrot's attack back with a rippling mirror and pulled her into the Mirro-World.
Carrot is cut off from Nami and Chopper when Charlotte Brulee creates a bigger mirror that draws the mink into the Mirro-World after her plants had already swarmed the group.
After lengthy resistance, the buried stranger reveals that he was once married to Big Mom herself, a revelation that leaves Luffy and Nami speechless.
Charlotte Cracker, one of Big Mom's Three Sweet Commanders, arrives in this episode pushing through the Seducing Woods toward Luffy, Nami, and the buried stranger.
