Changing Destiny - The Whitebeard Pirates Cast Ashore!

Oden faces Ashura Doji, the bandit chief of Kuri's lawless quarter, and emerges the victor, folding the defeated leader into his band of followers. Freeing Kuri, he transforms the wild terrain into a recognized province with himself as its first daimyo. Over time he matures into a respected, magnetic figure, and far away the collapse of the Rocks Pirates leads Whitebeard to drift ashore in Wano Country.

The duel with Ashura looks even until Oden finishes him before his retainers can intervene. After liberating Kuri, Oden raises towns and structures, earns back his father Sukiyaki's acceptance as a son, and forges an alliance between the Kouzuki Family and the Mink Tribe. When Inuarashi, Nekomamushi, and Kawamatsu wash up as children and are nearly burned as monsters, Oden rescues them, feeds them oden stew, and takes them in as retainers. His followers later try robbing Yasuie, who not only lets them keep the loot but adds his own savings, money the group spends on books, manners, and training until they become high-class warriors. Elsewhere the God Valley Incident dissolves the Rocks Pirates, scattering powerful figures like Edward Newgate, whose sunken ship leaves him beached in Wano.

The anime fleshes out Oden's clash with the Kuri bandits, adding pre-fight words with Ashura, a sword clash, and an Oden Two Sword Style finisher. It also shows a villager knocking out Kawamatsu, Oden hurling a giant fish at the oppressors, and Kin'emon nearly snapping at Nekomamushi after the oden pot spills. The flashback of Inuarashi and Nekomamushi adrift on a small boat is cut, and the stitched-up Mountain God is absent when Oden visits the Flower Capital.
