Devoting His Life! Roger's Adventure

Stricken with a terminal illness and given under a year to live, Roger keeps adventuring with his crew, who sing Binks' Sake as they travel. Their voyage carries them up to a sky island, then onward to Water 7, the Sabaody Archipelago, and the depths of Fish-Man Island. At each stop Oden helps decipher Poneglyphs that steadily close the gap to the Grand Line's final destination.

Riding a Knock Up Stream, the Roger Pirates reach Skypiea and the ancient golden city of Shandora, where they find its treasured belfry bell and a Poneglyph naming the weapon Poseidon at Fish-Man Island. Choosing not to take the bell, they leave a carved note marking Roger's visit and descend by octopus balloon. With Road Poneglyphs known to exist in Zou and Wano and a copy already obtained from Big Mom, the crew has located three of the four needed. They sail to Water 7 for repairs and meet the shipwright Tom, then continue to the Red Line, reaching Sabaody and undersea Fish-Man Island. King Neptune reveals Poseidon is a mermaid born once in centuries who commands Sea Kings, and the fortune teller Shyarly foresees her birth in ten years. Roger presses onward, his crew still singing.

The anime adds the crew's departure from Skypiea and inserts Mottled and Underbite into the descent to Fish-Man Island. A giant bridge is named as Tequila Wolf, though the manga left it unidentified and later clarified it was a different Wolf bridge. Trivia notes Roger pointing skyward in an echo of Luffy's later answer on Jaya, and Shanks and Buggy's pole argument revisits a gag from Episode 8.
