Commanded by the flamboyant Cavendish, the Beautiful Pirates hold the top rank among the ships pledged to Luffy's Grand Fleet. Made up of aristocratic followers who left the Bourgeois Kingdom with their exiled prince, they swear loyalty to the Straw Hats.
Within the fleet allied to the Straw Hats, Cavendish's crew occupies the leading position as its number-one ship. Seventy-four members strong, the band formed from the followers who accompanied Cavendish after his banishment from the Bourgeois Kingdom, joined by his horse Farul and later by Suleiman, who signed on once the events at Dressrosa concluded. They favor a refined look, all wearing noble attire, matching hairstyles topped with large buns, and curlers along the sideburns, and most carry swords such as cutlasses or rapiers, with at least one member preferring a polearm.
The crew's banner depicts a horse's head crowned with a plumed cowboy hat like Cavendish's own, flanked by two rapiers in place of the usual crossbones. They also fly the Straw Hats' mark to show where their allegiance lies. Their vessel goes by an unusually long name that invokes a slumbering white horse of the woods.
Little has been revealed about the crew's overall power, but Cavendish carries a bounty of 330,000,000 and earned renown as a Super Rookie a full year before the Worst Generation rose to prominence. The crew proved sturdy enough to endure the New World for three years without aligning under any Emperor, before pledging themselves to Luffy, who would go on to become an Emperor himself. Under his violent alter ego Hakuba, Cavendish took down Dellinger, a half fish-man who served as a Donquixote officer, and the crew grew stronger still when the notorious war criminal Suleiman joined at Dressrosa.
Cavendish entered the Corrida Colosseum hoping to win the Mera Mera no Mi, lost in his block, and found himself changed into a toy through Sugar's power before Usopp broke the curse. Freed and finally letting go of his grudge, he threw in with Luffy against the Donquixote Pirates. Afterward, along with several other groups, he asked to serve under the Straw Hats; when Luffy refused, Cavendish and the rest pledged themselves anyway, forming the Grand Fleet.
Cavendish leads the crew, a striking swordsman who once ruled as prince over the Bourgeois Kingdom, exiled because so many young women adored him that they refused to marry anyone else. He harbors a second, murderous personality named Hakuba, responsible for crimes that once plagued the Rommel Kingdom during one of the crew's visits. His pet horse Farul travels with him, and Suleiman, a feared war criminal, added considerable strength when he came aboard after Dressrosa.
The seventy-four crewmates left their homeland carrying five hundred million in funds and have kept a uniform, aristocratic appearance ever since. During the tournament, Cavendish's temper toward the Worst Generation, whom he blamed for overshadowing his own fame, colored much of his early conduct before he made peace with Luffy.
