Overview

Standing for the word "Deluxe," the DX Marines were founded by Smash on a doctrine of absolute justice once he decided the navy's conviction had begun to falter. Although the group broke off from the Marines, it runs on an internal ranking scheme entirely its own that reads closer to authoritarian rule. The topmost office, Commander-in-Chief, belongs to Smash, while Bildy holds the second seat as Chief of Staff, giving him command over the rank and file as well as a dedicated squad of generals.

Role

The purpose of the body is to enforce Smash's private code of justice by force. Once he broke away, he and Bildy seized Madatascar Island, outlawed every firework on it, and insisted the inhabitants obey without question. The organization's teeth were its Seven Generals: lower members reshaped by the Kone Kone no Mi that Bildy wields, remade into replicas of renowned figures. Those copies included stand-ins for Boa Hancock, Buggy, Galdino, Eustass Kid, Rob Lucci, Crocodile, and Hody Jones, with each duplicate matching the power of the person it imitated and greatly boosting the group's overall strength.

Notable Members

Once the Straw Hats set foot on Madatascar, the group hurled its counterfeit Crocodile and Hancock at the crew before Smash and Bildy squared off with Luffy in person. A fabricated Law and a fake Oars failed to shift the fight, the false generals dropped in turn, and Luffy's Gomu Gomu no Grizzly Magnum finished Smash and freed the island. Smash was afterward taken into custody and shut away in Impel Down, later reappearing among Balzac's Prisoner Unit only to lose to the Straw Hats once more, while what became of Bildy and the remaining organization was never recorded.
