Mermaid Cafe Dancers

In the Fish-Man Island port town of Coral Hill sits the Mermaid Cafe, an eatery run by Madam Shyarly where Camie and a number of other mermaids are employed. The young, beautiful waitresses share a single dormitory over in Mermaid Cove and draw male patrons through their charm, much in the manner of a hostess club. Those among the staff who perform routines for guests are collectively called the Mermaid Cafe Dancers.

Beyond serving, the dancers entertain the clientele, and the establishment is famous enough that one member of Gyro's crew counted a visit among his dreams. The menu leans entirely on sweets and shellfish, cake, seaweed brulee, kelp souffle, scallop sandwiches, and clam pizza, with no fish or meat served, since merfolk do not eat them. Hody Jones' rampage thinned the crowds for a time, but with his New Fish-Man Pirates beaten by the Straw Hats, Shyarly expected the customers to drift back.

Oda singled out five waitresses as the cafe's finest, an informal top tier made up of Ishilly, Kairen, Hiramera, Seira, and Mero. Camie, who first revealed the cafe to the Straw Hats, also works the floor, while Madam Shyarly owns the business itself.
