KX Launcher

Caesar Clown engineered the KX Launcher as a long-range handheld weapon for the Fire Tank alliance during their strike on Charlotte Linlin. It resembles an RPG-7 in shape and fires a venomous projectile rather than a conventional explosive. Though the scientist insisted a lone shot would do the job, he supplied three of the launchers as a precaution for the operation against the Emperor.

Each round injects five grams of organophosphate poison straight into its target, a substance lethal merely from touching the skin. The trivia draws the comparison to VX nerve agent, the most deadly such compound known, where a fraction of a milligram can kill. For all its potency, the weapon has a critical limit against Big Mom: her hide is far too tough to pierce unless she is rendered vulnerable, a state achieved only by ruining the portrait of Mother Carmel. Even then the plan unraveled, because the ammunition could not survive the pressure of her scream over the damaged picture, and the rockets detonated before reaching her.

The launchers belonged to Capone Bege and Caesar Clown, who armed Bege's forces for the assassination attempt at the Tea Party. Caesar both invented and demonstrated the trio of weapons ahead of the strike. When the alliance finally tried to fire on Big Mom, her wail shattered the rounds in mid-flight, leaving the device's lethal payload undelivered.
