The Deadly Pact - Luffy & Bege's Allied Forces!

The Sanji Retrieval Team sits down with the Fire Tank Pirates, and before a word is spoken Luffy starts eating from a bin on the table. Bege opens by calling the Straw Hats vermin and asking why he should not finish them, but Sanji notes that killing him would collapse the wedding and his own plot. Luffy then spots Caesar Clown, hair slicked back and seated with Bege's crew. A flashback shows how Bege raided Big Mom's lab, seized Caesar's detached heart, and pressed him into building a weapon. Posing now as Gangster Gastino, Caesar fools no one but Luffy and Chopper.

When Bege asks about an alliance, Luffy answers by swinging at him over the shooting of Pekoms. Jinbe fails to stop the punch, which Bege blocks using Caesar's heart as a shield before a brief scuffle. Elsewhere on Whole Cake Island, the Underworld emperors arrive for the wedding. Back at the hideout the fight settles, and the team asks how Big Mom can be killed.

Bege explains there will be only a five-second opening, easily lost, but Caesar's new KX Launcher injects a lethal substance on contact. Since even that cannot break Big Mom's skin, the plan instead targets a portrait of the vanished Mother Carmel that Big Mom keeps near her at every tea party. Once before, a servant damaged it, sending her into a paralyzing shriek and a release of Conqueror's Haki that left her scraping her own knees as she fell. Wearing earplugs, the alliance will use that breakdown window to fire the launchers, and Bege asks Luffy to create a distraction. Luffy agrees, with three hours left.

The Straw Hats and Fire Tank Pirates form an uneasy alliance after Jinbe defuses the clash. Bege reveals Caesar's recruitment and the KX Launcher's deadly payload. The plan to assassinate Big Mom is laid out, hinging on destroying Mother Carmel's portrait to trigger her breakdown. Luffy accepts the role of distraction. The Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Albatross debuts, and several Underworld figures are introduced in silhouette.

Part of the Whole Cake Island Arc. The anime adds Luffy snacking during the meeting, Bege asking whether he could simply kill Sanji's friends, Caesar restyling his hair, and the arrival of the Underworld emperors. Jinbe is shown blocking Luffy's first punch before Bege uses Caesar's heart against the second, and the Mother Carmel portrait incident is depicted in full detail.
