Shirauo

Shirauo is an exceptionally long nodachi that stands about as tall as Amande and overtops most ordinary people. True to a name meaning icefish, the sword sports a pure white guard shaped like a fish and a grip patterned with scales. Amande carries it sheathed in a very long scabbard worn on her right hip.

The blade combines great sharpness with superior cutting power, able to shear through thick lumber even at a crawling pace when Amande chooses, and to part metal armor. Its length grants sweeping reach that lets her slice through large targets in a single stroke.

Her techniques play on slow, musical names. Slow Ballad splits an opponent from top to bottom, cutting deliberately to drag out their agony, first inflicted while torturing Kingbaum. Slow Waltz has her flash behind a foe and swing the blade in a complete circle to catch their flank, a strike strong enough to cleave Perospero's candy wall in pieces, though Luffy managed to evade it.

Charlotte Amande wields Shirauo. In the blade's earliest panel its guard had a plain floral form, which was later revised into the signature fish shape for subsequent appearances, with the anime version of that first scene already using the updated design.
