Wild Animal Violin

This specialized violin was designed and built by Earl Battler himself, the chief villain of the third One Piece film. Battler is a gifted violinist, and he combined that skill with the custom instrument to gain control over creatures dwelling on O-Kan Island.

When Battler performs on the violin, the melody seizes command of the Horn Eaters, letting him direct the animals to assault other beasts and people alike. The effect is not limited to animals: the same tune reaches Luffy as well, because his brainwaves happen to match those of an animal. The instrument is therefore less a source of raw force than a tool of manipulation, turning the island's wildlife into weapons under Battler's baton.

Earl Battler is the violin's inventor and only user. Alongside it he keeps a second concealed weapon, an axe disguised as a tambourine, the same tool with which he had murdered M. Danbo and carved a scar across Mobanby's chest. Battler, a poacher who posed as a genius zoologist, was hunting O-Kan Island for the fabled Crowning Treasure horns, and he relied on the violin's grip over the Horn Eaters throughout that search until Luffy defeated him and freed the animals from his control.
