Summary

Luffy demands the veteran simply hand over the key, but Gaban goads him into leaping down to settle the matter. Every grab for the prize is dodged, and then Gaban sheathes the key in Armament Haki and drives it down onto Luffy, a blow that stuns every onlooker. Rage boils over once Gaban mocks Shanks as a skinflint for never truly gifting the hat, and the old warrior answers by cramming the object into Luffy's mouth and hurling him into a wall before loosing a barrage of axe strikes he names Yasotakeru. Zoro leaps in to block the attack, shearing off part of the castle in the process, and Gaban privately judges the crew a fine one. As Luffy erupts into Gear Fifth, Gaban abruptly concedes and sets the key on the ground beside him, telling the boy to visit again should the island still be standing.

Over at the Walrus School, a handful of children notice a strange bird that Ange cannot spot, actually the avian construct Gunko shaped to ferry herself and Shamrock onto a branch. Once perched, Gunko opens her magic circle meaning to draw a single reinforcement, yet two arrive instead. From the Shepherd Family comes Saint Sommers, and from the Rimoshifu line comes Saint Killingham, neither of whom expected the summons. Killingham mentions that Shamrock has been recalled to Mary Geoise amid the turmoil that has spread since the Levely. Shamrock outlines the operation and orders the giant children taken, and when the pair points out that the young ones lack the mark needed to cross the Abyss, he coldly proposes turning the kidnapping into a game.

Key Events

Gaban exchanges blows with Luffy, then yields and lets the boy take the chain key that will unbind Loki. Road attempts to reveal Gaban's identity but is quieted for the moment, and as he departs Gaban invites Luffy back once Elbaph is safe, recalling how Shanks pressed him to trust the boy. Shamrock and Gunko reach the Sun World above the Walrus School, where Gunko's circle draws in two Knights of God, Saint Sommers together with Saint Killingham. Killingham gives off signs of being an Awakened Mythical Zoan wielder, and he passes along Shamrock's recall to Mary Geoise. Shamrock then commands Sommers, Killingham, and Gunko to seize as many giant children as they can, moving them by boat since none carry the mark required for the Abyss.
