This is the impact dial, which banks force from blows to fire back later, and the lesson lets Sanji and Usopp finally understand Satori's powers. Gan Fall adds that the rarer reject dial multiplies that force tenfold, though it can kill its user.

The knight explains that everyday dials double as weapons: a heat dial becomes Shura's fire javelin, a flame dial turns a bird like Fuza into a fire-breather. One Shandia is cut down by an axe-dial enforcer, and Luffy, strolling and singing, flattens an ambusher he mistook for a goat before running straight into Wyper once more.
