Chapter 258

The narrator recaps that of the four-member exploration team, only Robin still follows the straight southern line toward Shandora's ruins; the rest have strayed. Chopper, hunted by God's Army enforcers, is driven back and forth when he runs straight into a clash between those soldiers and the Shandia, and he flees the moment the enforcers win. Robin reaches the overgrown edge of the old city, where an enforcer drops in to bar her path. Furious that he disrespects the ruins, she pins him with sprouted arms and twists his spine and legs, leaving him broken.

Elsewhere, Wyper again orders Luffy off the island he claims for the Shandia. Luffy brushes him off, but Wyper announces he intends to kill him, and Luffy grins and braces for the fight. In another stretch of Upper Yard, Zoro effortlessly drops a charging Shandia, then encounters Braham, who has just blasted a surrendering enforcer. When Zoro warns him to stay clear, Braham answers with pistols that erupt in blinding light, bounce him airborne, and let him land a heavy kick to Zoro's ribs.

Braham praises Zoro's durability and apologizes for underrating him; Zoro, licking blood from his lip, returns the apology for having dismissed Braham as one of the lesser fighters, tosses his bag aside, and prepares to engage in earnest. The chapter confirms Wyper ordered the Shandia to wipe out the Straw Hats, and introduces Braham's light-flashing flash guns. The cover continues Wapol's saga as his toy operation balloons into a sprawling industrial empire.
